Crogan Adventures replica dagger now available for preorders!

ATTENTION: NO MORE ORDERS ON KNIVES.  We are sold out.

If you read the Crogan Adventures books (or listen to the radio show) you'll find that one object pops up again and again - a carved dagger first owned by the pirate Catfoot Crogan and passed down through the subsequent generations.  Owned and used by Catfoot, David, Jonathon, Will, Geoffrey, Matthew, Joseph, Robert, and Daniel, as well as a few of their associates, the dagger has an octopus carved into the handle.

Now YOU can own the same knife - or a replica of it, at least.  18" long, and made of a plastic resin, it's hand-cast by the fine folks at Redline Toys from a sculpt made by me.  Each one is hand-painted.  And though it looks like a knife, it's safe for kids to have (though, like anything else, they could probably injure themselves if they use it improperly), and it's safe for use as part of a costume.  While the handle and stand are rigid, the blade is moderately flexible.

And while you might want it for play, or a costume, you may be the sort of person (like me) who prefers to have such things displayed on your bookshelf or mantle.  Don't worry.  You're in luck.  We've got a lovely stand for it to sit atop.

So here's the deal.  Each one of these has to be handmade.  So we're taking preorders right now!

Folks who are going to HeroesCon can pick up theirs at the show!

ATTENTION: NO MORE ORDERS ON KNIVES.  We are sold out.

Folks who AREN'T going to the show will have theirs mailed to 'em by the end of June.

For the moment, we only have options for domestic shipping (meaning lower 48 states).  If you are in a foreign country and want to order one, we can figure out shipping prices.

Notice to Brick and Mortar retailers: We want you to be able to offer this to your customers at the same price that I do here.  So if you're wanting to carry this in your store, please shoot me an e-mail (chris@curiousoldlibrary.com) with your store info and I'll get in touch with what we can do for you.

  1. Congratulations on selling out.

Normally, being a sell out is considered a bad thing, but not in this case.
